William L. “Bill” Steinman

Apr 17, 1948 – Nov 3, 2006

William L. “Bill” Steinman, 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 03, 2006. He was born on April 17, 1948, son of the late Fred and LaVerne (nee: Mueller) Steinman. Bill was united in marriage to Carol Steiner on August 12, 1967. Bill will be remembered most for the way he loved and took care of his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and adoring grandfather who was always there when he was needed. Bill enjoyed “oldies” music, and was quite a music trivia expert. He also enjoyed hunting in Central Wisconsin, and walleye fishing on the Wisconsin River. Bill was a member of the Carpenters Union local 161 for over 40 years. Bill was an avid pigeon fancier and enjoyed racing them since the age of twelve. He is survived by his wife, Carol Steinman; and their children, Marcie (Kevin) Molbeck, Cori Baumstark, Craig (Kris) Steinman, and Joey Steinman; grandchildren, Adam Molbeck, Taylor, Tia, and Tanner Sorensen, Evan, and Erin Steinman; sister, Donna Mae (Tom) Nelson; nephew Dennis (Sharon) Nelson; sister-in-law, Gloria (Steve) Andersen; brother-in-law, Ken Steiner; other relatives and many friends. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis, and Larry Steinman. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2006 with Chaplain Heather Bumstead officiating. Visitation before the service will begin at 5:00 pm.

    Dearest Carol and Family

Just got a call about Bill’s passing away and we are so very very sorry to hear.

We will keep you in our prayers and thoughts through this extremely difficult time.

He truly was a good-hearted person and someone you feel comoftable with as soon as you met him. My kids always still remember him because he had root beer barrell candy with him and they thought that was so neat!

Testimonials

Thank you so very much for the exemplary care that you provided for both our mom and dad. Your family is extremely kind and exudes much empathy towards others. You and your staff display much professionalism with great talent and attention to detail. Mom and dad were always very particular in their appearance. Mom would say, You are leaving a lasting impression of yourself with someone to remember you by. Your parents taught you boys well; be very proud of that! Love on them, as death is so very permanent.

Holly and I are officially orphans now. It is people like your family and David Huck being there for us, that bring comfort when you are going through one of the most difficult challenges life throws at you.

I thank God every day for our Ostergaard family and will always cherish the memories.

Love you,

Jody Burlingame Wagner
