Bonnie Lou Veto

Aug 10, 1940 – Dec 13, 2007

Union Grove – Bonnie Lou Veto, 67, passed away in her home on Thursday, December 13, 2007. She was born in Ripon on August 10, 1940, daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle (nee: Krenz) Hohler. On September 12, 1970 she was married in Milwaukee to Elwin Veto. They enjoyed 16 years together until his passing in 1986. Bonnie spent the early years of her life living in and around Fond du Lac County, and graduated from Campbellsport High School. She was employed at Milwaukee Die Casting for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. Bonnie loved her garden and doing all sorts of yard work, including helping out on her son’s farm. She enjoyed cooking, listening to country music and watching westerns, and was well known for decorating her home inside and out for Christmas and other holidays. Fishing with her son was a favorite past time, along with cheering for the GB Packers. Most of all she was a loving grandmother who helped family and friends. She is survived by her 5 children, Timothy Veto of Falls Church, Virginia, Patti (Rick) Henderson, and Todd (Kathy) Veto both of Racine, Brian (Becky) Veto of Union Grove, and Bruce Veto of Racine; 11 grandchildren, Kristen, Laurel, Taylor, Josh, Cody, Carole, Laurie, Logan, Lucy, Abby, and Preston; great-grandson Brandon; brother, Jerry (Jo Anne) Hohler of N. Fond du Lac; sister, Sara (Dick) Bartoli of Mayville; sister-in-law, Millie Kranz of Ripon; as well as many other relatives and good friends. She was also preceded by loving companion, Robert Leonzal. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2007 with Rev. Stephen Samuelson officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. Internment will be private.

Testimonials

Katlynn “Kiki” Stanke & the Family of Karl Stanke

Mike and the staff went above and beyond during our very difficult time with passing of our Opa. Mike helped relieve the immense stress by being extremely professional, paying attention to the smallest details and the overall kindness and compassion in caring for our family at our time of need. We do not believe that a thank you truly covers our deep gratitude towards you. Thank you for everything you have done for us.
