Jeremy Thomas DeMint

vet
Apr 4, 1988 – Mar 22, 2016

RACINE – Jeremy T. DeMint, 27, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2016.

He was born in Racine on April 4, 1988, the son of James and Karen (nee: McMahon) DeMint.

Jeremy attended JI Case High School and graduated in 2006. It was there he met his future wife, Jackie (Anclam), and his best friends Josh (Casey), Dan (Harmann), Kyle (Kortendick), and Justin (Celeste). He was a talented athlete who went to State for wrestling and also ran cross-country and track.

After high school, Jeremy joined the United States Marine Corps where he was an Infantry Machine Gunner and achieved the rank of Corporal. He was stationed at Twenty-Nine Palms in California and served two tours in Afghanistan.

When Jeremy returned home, he married the love of his life, Jackie Anclam on July 11, 2015. He then began his work on becoming a fire fighter and paramedic. He recently graduated from MATC with an Associate’s degree in Fire Protection Technician as well as achieved his paramedic certification from WCTC. He was working for the Pewaukee Fire Department and very recently got to fight his first fire.

Jeremy will be remembered by all as the most generous, kindest, loving, and goofiest man they knew.  Jeremy wanted nothing but to help and serve others. He was the life of every gathering and was always making everyone laugh in his own unique way. Jeremy had the biggest heart and soul. He would give you the shirt off his back and he was a man you could look up to and admire. Words cannot possibly describe Jeremy’s huge personality or just how much he meant to those who knew him.

In addition to his wife Jackie, he is survived by his mother, Karen DeMint; his father, Jim DeMint; his brother, Josh (Meghan) DeMint; his grandmother, Ruth DeMint; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary (nee: Staaden) and Keith Anclam; and his brother-in-law, Tom Anclam.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Agnes McMahon and Gilbert DeMint and his uncle, Michael DeMint.

Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 for a visitation and time to meet with his family from 4-7 p.m.  A service remembering and honoring his life will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  A private interment with military honors will take place.

October 22, 2015

My family and I would like to thank you and your staff for making our father\’s funeral a beautiful celebration of his life. So many people commented that it was the best funeral they had ever attended! We can\’t say enough about Mark Langendorf\’s professionalism, his attention to detail, and ensuring that my father\’s funeral went smoothly from start to finish. After the funeral, he was always available for any questions and concerns my mother had. He handled all post-funeral details. Our dad would be very happy to know it went so well.Thank you so much, Mark.
