Carolyn June Johnson

Mar 25, 1941 – Jul 5, 2016

Carolyn June Johnson, 75, of Edmonds, WA passed away at All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI on July 5th due to complications from pneumonia. Carolyn was born in Picher, OK on March 25th, 1941 to Cleora and Burl Lane. She attended Picher High School and Pittsburg State University.
Carolyn was a loving mother to her children, David and Allyson. She loved to travel, and when she wasn't she saw the world through her many books and magazines. She enjoyed coffee (forgetting it quite often in the microwave), ice in her wine, the ocean, seafood, and her cats. She fell in love with Edmonds the moment she moved there in 1988. She spent most of her time there sharing that love through her business, Northwest Royal Welcome, then as the founder and director of the Edmonds Visitors Bureau. Carolyn was a proud member of the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary and served as its president from 2000-2001. She also organized their annual Jazz Connection jazz festival. Her favorite past time was telling friends how proud she was of her children. She will be greatly missed.
Carolyn is survived by her son, David; daughter, Allyson and husband Josh; grandchildren, Carter and Cole; and brother Burl Lane and wife Jane. She was predeceased by her parents, Cleora and Burl Lane.
Memorial services will be held at Miami G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK on Friday, July 15th at 10 am.
Memorial donations may be made in Carolyn’s name to the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Foundation by check or to their Jazz Connection online at www.daybreakersrotary.com, click on Events, and Donate Now .  Condolences may be sent to www.Brown-Winters.com.

Testimonials

Jason C.

It has been a long while in business since I have experienced and witnessed someone be truly great at what they do. That was my experience with Mike and team. Above and beyond hardly encompasses their professionalism and compassion during our family’s bereavement.

Thank you most sincerely,
Jason C.
