My older sister and I both attended Fine Arts and were in choir with Mrs. Smith. I’m now a teacher and I have thought of her so many times throughout the years as I started my own choir at Mitchell Elementary, and as the music director of my elementary school’s music production in Madison. And every year at Christmas I think of the packets of carols she used to pass out for us in Music class. We loved her. She was wonderful!

Carla was my teacher at Hansche where I knew as a child how special she was. She remained my favorite teacher of all time and was thought of often during my school years and into adulthood. I was so thankful to reconnect with her about 18 years ago and enjoyed her company so much during our many lunches out. My condolences to your family and Duane. Please know my heart breaks with yours. I know she was loved and admired by so many and will be deeply missed.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

We would like to personally thank Brian for what a warm, compassionate funeral you arranged. You always put our thoughts first and answered and responded to my many phone calls about everything. The artistry of the belongings of our son was amazing. Everything was so beautiful. So many people complimented on how the arrangement was set up by you. We as a family will never forget what you did for us in our time of need. Thank you very much Brian.
