Memorial Suggestions

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the family.

Kenneth William Vorlob, Jr., 49, passed away at home on January 30, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Racine on December 6, 1973, son of Kenneth and Lynn (nee: Whiting) Vorlob, Sr.

Ken was united in marriage to the former Lynn Marie Barnes on November 14, 2015, in Racine.

Ken graduated from Washington Park High School in 1992.  He received an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering from Gateway Technical College.  Ken was a machinist for Wisconsin Metals before he was no longer able to work.  He previously worked for S.C. Johnson Wax and also was a bartender for Wilbur’s and Maxine’s.

Ken loved to play sports, especially softball, bowling, golf, and darts.  He could light up a room with his smile and infectious personality; he loved to be around people.  Ken was a blessing to everyone, lifting their spirits even while battling cancer.  Ken will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Ken leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Lynn Vorlob; mother, Lynn (Bob) Leisner; sister, Kim Vorlob; step-brothers, Al Leisner, Rob Leisner, Elliot Leisner; nephew, Joe Long; niece, Amanda Putzer; father-in-law, Roger Barnes; mother-in-law, Patricia Donovan; brother-in-law, Don Putzer; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

Ken is preceded in death by his father, Ken Vorlob, Sr.; sister, Cheryl Putzer; and infant brother, Scott Vorlob.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 9:00am until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the family.
