Maria A. Cuellar

May 28, 1936 – Feb 8, 2010

Maria A. Cuellar, 73, passed away at WFH Healthcare-All Saints on Monday, February 8, 2010. She was born in Encinal, TX on May 28, 1936 the daughter of the late Eusebio and Eudelia (nee: Gonzales) Hernandez. On April 16, 1955 she was united in marriage to Sabas S. Cuellar, who preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2000. Mrs. Cuellar was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her children, babysitting, and dancing. Surviving are her children, Sabas Cruz (Mary) Cuellar, Maria Nicolaza Cuellar, and Teresa O. (Rigoberto) Valladares; grandchildren, Christopher Cruz (Tiffanie) Cuellar, Samantha Maria Cuellar, Rigo Iren Valladares, Esai Isaac Valladares, Avril Camille Valladares; great-grandchildren, Gavin Sabas Cuellar, and Amber Cuellar, all of Racine; sisters, Manuela Ramirez, of Racine, and Alicia (Jesus) Cuellar, of Eagle Pass, TX; brother, Eusebio Hernandez, of Encinal, TX; brother-in-law, Trinidad (Lucy) Cuellar, of Antigo, WI; and sisters-in-law, Florencia Oliden, of Cedar Creek, TX, and Sylvia Cuellar, of White Lake, WI. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Mrs. Cuellar was preceded in death by her sister, Rosa Garcia. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13th in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and in the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
