Pearl Elizabeth Schimanski

Aug 5, 1918 – Sep 20, 2013

Racine – Pearl Schimanski, 95, received the promise of eternal life on Friday, September 20, 2013.  She was born on Rosholt, WI, on August 5, 1918, daughter of the late Frank and Minnie (nee: Czerwonka) Trzebiatowski.

Pearl worked for St. Mary’s Hospital for 20 years as a sterilization technician.  She also devoted her life as a homemaker.  Pearl will be remembered for such favorites as her chocolate chip cookies and banana cream pie.  She treasured all of the time spent with her family and will be dearly missed.

Pearl leaves to cherish her memory, her son, James Schimanski; daughter-in-law, Sue Schimanski; grandchildren, Michael (Linda) Schimanski, Joseph (Sylvia) Schimanski, Edward Schimanski, Jeffrey Schimanski, Julie (Donovan) Fannin, John (Mary Jo) Schimanski, Roy (Lisa ) Schimanski, Sharon (Bill) Vlieger, Rebecca (Brian) Veto, Sandra (Keith) Burmeister, Victoria (Roger) Rodriguez ; 19 great-grandchildren; and other relatives too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents, Pearl is preceded in death by her former husband, Paul Schimanski; son, John Schimanski; daughter-in-law, Sally Schimanski; sisters, Esther (Frank) Garski, Irene (formerly Johnson) Lowe; half-brother, Valentine Zilinski; brother-in-law, Joe Johnson; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 26, 2013, 12:00pm, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. Terry Huebner officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery located on Kinzie Avenue in Racine.  Memorials have been suggested to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to the entire staff of Manor Care-Kenosha and Hospice Alliance for the care and love that they gave to Pearl during her time of need.

Jimmy, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.Aunt Pearl was just always a pleasure to be around. I remember when she assisted the doctor when I had my cast on my broken hip 50 years ago. I loved her laugh
    God bless her.

Testimonials

Jessie Tuttle

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
