Memorial Suggestions

Alex always told the kids how important it was to have a good education. He set up educational funds for each of his grandchildren. Please consider donations to his grandchildren’s education fund c/o Amanda Chaudoir 3430 9th Avenue, Racine, WI 53402  or to Por la Gente, https://www.porlagente.org/events. Alternatively, donations can be made to Kathy’s House,https://kathys-house.org/ , the organization that made it possible for Nikki to always be with Alex during his hospitalization.

Alex Trevino Jr., 67, of Racine, passed away at Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee on Saturday, September 7, 2024 with his family at his side. He was born in Racine on December 12, 1956, the son of the late Alejandro and Isabelle (nee: Chacon) Trevino.
Alex graduated from William Horlick High School. He was the partner of Nicala Aiello for over 24 years. They married around 10 years ago but neither one can ever remember when exactly, as they celebrated their anniversary on the day of their first date, March 3. One day when they were at Summerfest their first year together, Alex drew Nikki’s attention to four teenage boys who had just snuck past the gate. When he went over, gave them $20 and told them to have a good time, she knew Alex was the guy for her.
Alex was a senior technician in the microbiology lab at S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. He worked there for 37 years and retired in 2014. Alex was a well-known community league baseball player in Racine. After high school he was invited to minor league try-outs but decided to stay in Racine and be a dad, a decision he never regretted. For years he played in the Por la Gente tournament, helping to raise money for scholarships for Latinx students.
Alex enjoyed talking politics and was excited about voting for Kamala Harris in November. You could honor him by making sure you vote. He liked movies and all kinds of sports and was looking forward to getting out on the golf course after that second hip was fixed. He really loved being Bumpa to his grandchildren and enjoyed every minute he spent with them.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife Nikki; two daughters, Amanda (Tony)  Chaudoir and Amalia (Rolando) Morales; six grandchildren, Analisa (Mike Phillips) Trevino, Victoria (Eric) Vargo-Chaudoir, Rolando Morales, Ava Morales, Eva Chaudoir, and Tony Chaudoir; four sisters, Dolores Bains, of Las Vegas, NV, Linda (Frank) Ruiz, Sylvia (Marty Bernal) Trevino, Elaine (Johnny) Bazan, all of Racine; two brothers, Enrique (Kate) Trevino, of Racine and Rudy (Jovita) Trevino, of Milwaukee; his mother-in-law Janet Aiello; his six sisters-in-law and assorted brothers-in-law; Lisa and Jose Torano, Eva Aiello-Larrabee, Anna (Gary Ricchio) Aiello, Theresa (Robert Surdyk) Aiello, Christa and Geoff Thompsen, Rosemarie Aiello and Matt Rinehart. Also surviving Alex are many, many nieces and nephews and ex-wife Sue Trevino. In addition to his parents, Alex was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Garcia and his father-in-law, Mario Aiello.

Testimonials

December 1, 2023

My siblings and I recently had the unfortunate experience of having to plan a funeral for our beloved mother – Juana Munoz. During this difficult time, we were fortunate enough to come across a funeral home that truly went above and beyond what was expected. Their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring our comfort and safety throughout the entire process was truly remarkable. From the moment we stepped foot into the funeral home, we were greeted with warmth and compassion. The staff members, but specifically Mark was incredibly understanding and empathetic, making us feel at ease during such a challenging time. Mark took the time to listen to our needs and wishes, and his guidance and support were invaluable. One aspect that truly stood out was Mark’s meticulous attention to detail. He paid close attention to every aspect of the funeral arrangements, ensuring that nothing was overlooked. From the floral arrangements to the music selection, every detail was carefully considered and executed flawlessly. Mark even noticed that the temperature in the room was getting warm and promptly adjusted it to ensure our comfort. What impressed me the most was their commitment to our safety. Mark and his team took every precaution to ensure that our family and guests were protected throughout the entire process. From the funeral home to the cemetery, Mark made sure that all safety measures were in place, including providing hand sanitizers, and even arranging for additional staff members to assist with crowd control. Furthermore, Mark’s professionalism and organization was evident in every aspect of the funeral service. He coordinated seamlessly with the cemetery staff, ensuring a smooth transition from the funeral home to the final resting place. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence truly made a difference in our overall experience. In addition to their exceptional service, the funeral home also provided us with resources and support beyond the funeral itself. They offered grief counseling services and connected us with local support groups, which proved to be invaluable during our grieving process. Overall, we cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Mark, and broader, Draeger Langendorf team. Their attention to detail, commitment to our safety, and genuine compassion made a difficult time a little more bearable. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of funeral arrangements, as they truly go above and beyond to ensure that every detail is taken care of and that families are supported throughout . the entire process. – Epifanio and The Munoz Family
