Racine – Lucas Scott Houdek was born into eternal life on Friday, February 5, 2016.
Lucas leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Jason Houdek and Amanda Reisenauer of Racine; brother, Christian Reisenauer; grandparents, Michelle Houdek of Racine, Rick (Lynn) Houdek of Mukwonago, Nick (Teri) Reisenauer of Union Grove; great-grandparents, Karen Reisenauer of Racine, Gerald (Joanne) Hoornstra of Racine, Jim (Nancy) Houdek of Arkansas; aunts and uncles, Caleb Joyce of Racine, Amanda (Mike) Adcock of Tennessee, Abby Reisenauer of Union Grove, Talia Gloeckler of Racine, Vinny (Sara) Gloeckler of Union Grove; great-aunt, Suzette (Steve) Spaulding of Mt. Pleasant; other dear relatives and family friends too numerous to mention.
Lucas is preceded in death by his grandmother, Norma Reisenauer.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery where Lucas will be buried with his grandmother, Norma.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to all of their family and friends for their love and support during this very difficult time.

To say that I am in shock to hear about the death of your precious infant would be an understatement. When I got word of it my heart nearly stopped. They say that we are supposed to understand and accept that which happens to us in this life, but when something this inexplicable happens it really shakes your faith. The poor infant was only in this world for such a short time but with both of you giving your child constant attention love filled your baby�۪s heart from the moment it was born.
I will pray that the both of you will somehow find peace in time but the important thing is that you both share the grief together and remain as close as you always have.
Your friends and your family will also help you to heal from this awful devastating loss. In time maybe you will be blessed again with another child. Of course no other baby will take the place of what you have lost but you both are young and have a lot of life left to live and so much love to give.
