Philip J. Petrowski

Apr 15, 1921 – Nov 22, 2009

Philip J. Petrowski, 88, passed away in Wheaton Franciscan Health Care Center on Sunday, November 22, 2009. He was born on April 15, 1921, in the Town of Emmett, the son of the late John and Pauline (nee: Wentland ) Petrowski. On November 3, 1947, in Sacred Heart Church, Cassel, WI, he was united in marriage to the former Frances Michalewicz. Mr. Petrowski was employed by Oster Mfg. and later retired from Jacobsen-Textron. He was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. Mr. Petrowski enjoyed raising his flowers and was especially fond of his roses. Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Frances; their children, Kenneth (Joan) Petrowski, of Antioch, IL, Rodney “Ron” (Sally) Petrowski, of St. Cloud, MN, Glenn Petrowski, and Constance (Randy) Thompson, all of Racine; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and sister, Anna Michlig, of Marathon, WI, and his devoted dog, Spanky. Mr. Petrowski is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Petrowski on Feb. 22, 1965, his brothers, Peter and John, and his sisters Lucy, Lilly, and Agnes. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 24, at 12: 00 Noon, in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., with Rev, Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
